You want to foil in Portugal, but don’t want to bring your battery?
You want to use your Foil Drive but can’t take your batteries on plane?
We have the solution to fit your needs.
Just drop by our showroom, 10 minutes from Lisbon International airport, or in Faro airport and pick up your gear battery.
You can take the battery with you, to foil wherever you wish, and just drop it in the end of your stay, when leaving for the airport.
Keep in mind you’ll have to bring your charger, or it will have an extra cost to rent one.
Important Note – All Batteries should be delivered with a minimum between 5% and 10%.
Any voltage reading below 25v is non-recoverable and is proof in itself that the battery has been left in the unit and will NOT be covered under warranty.
If you deliver the battery under 5% or unresponsive, a full battery price will be deducted from your credit card.
Foil Drive Battery Maintenance
You must always remove the battery after use otherwise you risk draining the battery below 0% and permanently damaging your battery beyond repair.
Leaving the battery plugged in after use, means the Gen2 motor system is ON.
This means the Bluetooth chip, speed controller and receiver is ON and will keep searching for the remote and your phone app.
Since the bluetotth system consumes power, it will constantly usethe power left in your battery, eventually drainig it to zero.
It’s just like your car – you cannot leave the lights on overnight and expect it to start in the morning.
Keep in mind plugging your battery in the night before for a morning session will have the same effect .
When you get down to the beach you’ll notice you don’t have a fully charged battery, meaning you’ll have a shorter session!
