This version of the new Wing F-One Strike V6 introduces the QuadX Composite, our new in-house developed laminated fabric.

The sixth generation of the STRIKE takes a leap forward with the introduction of this new material.

We used F One technology Sweep Control Panel on the leading edge.

It regulates trailing edge tension and reinforces the front part of the leading edge, while controlling its rearward deformation.

This will allow just the right amount of lateral flex for comfort and energy transfer when pumping.

On the water, the STRIKE QuadX stands out with a constant forward traction even in stronger winds.

It will provide you highly efficient pumping thanks to a controlled flex, an impressive wind range, and total versatility from freeride to freefly, and of course freestyle.

A few questions regarding QuadX

Quad X is not an imitation of existing constructions, but the result of a different approach: optimizing performance while ensuring long-term structural reliability.

Background and history

Ultra-PE has been present in our industry for a long time, well before the emergence of newer materials such as ALUULA or today’s 3-layer constructions.

Historically known under the brands Dyneema and Spectra, Ultra-PE is an exceptional fiber, around 30 times stronger than polyester at equal weight.

Its introduction into inflatable structures marked a turning point in the industry, notably thanks to its stiffness and responsiveness.

Our first Ultra-PE developments naturally followed the path of 3-layer constructions.

However, these trials quickly highlighted both their potential and their limits, particularly in terms of durability and long-term stability.

From the outset, our vision was different:

to develop a material that is both high-performing and durable, capable of maintaining its structural qualities over time.

This vision led to the creation of Quad X.

QuadX differences in construction and weight

Today, 3-layer Ultra-PE constructions average around 85 g/m², with a clear objective: maximizing lightness.

Moreover, lighter materials often require additional structural reinforcements, which reduces the actual final weight difference between products.

Quad X is around 125 g/m².

This difference comes from the addition of a fourth polyester layer whose role is fundamental: protecting the structural PET film.

This extra layer provides several benefits:
• Reduced premature ageing of the material PET film
• Better protection at seams and mechanical stress points
• Maintenance of structural rigidity over time
• Limitation of elongation (stretch)

In real-world use, Quad X therefore shows lower elongation than 3-layer constructions, allowing the product to retain its shape, precision and responsiveness.

Our philosophy remains unchanged: reduce weight whenever possible, but never at the expense of performance and reliability.

Differences in weave and structural stability

Quad X is also visually distinctive.

Our X-pattern uses a specific weave angle and density designed to:
• Increase material pre-tension
• Stabilize the structure under load
• Reduce stretch
• Improve the wing’s dynamic response

This is therefore not merely an aesthetic difference, but a structural optimization.

Differences in design and integration of Quad X into our products

Quad X is not just a material; it is a complete design approach.

We spent months testing different assemblies, weave tensions, fiber orientations and cutting methods in order to fully exploit its potential.

This translates into:
• New structural tension lines
• Optimized radial cutting
• Staggered seams
• Differentiated fabric weights depending on wing zones

The operating environment of sails is demanding: internal pressure, UV exposure, impacts, torsion and abrasion.
